Pretty quiet weekend all and all. I’ve been busy trying to get everything in order for my new meal plan starting May 1st. Friday night I had a quick cardio workout consisting of the following:
- 10 rounds x 3 minute skipping, with 30 seconds rest between rounds
- then, tabata 24″ box jumps with a 20lbs vest on — (score of 8 reps)
Saturday I golfed. (shot a 99 – ouch!)
Sunday night was a good little burner. The whole workout took me about 50 minutes.
- Warm-up: 6 rounds x 3 minutes of skipping, 30 seconds rest between rounds; followed by,
- Tabata double-unders (score was 20 – new personal best!)
- Workout was a variation the Crossfit.com WOD posted earlier this week, consisting of a whole lot of deadlifts. I completed with the following rep progression:
-
- 12 reps at 135 lbs
- 10 reps at 185 lbs
- 8 reps at 225 lbs
- 6 reps at 275 lbs
- 4 reps at 305 lbs
- 2 reps at 385 lbs
- 1 rep at 405 lbs
- 1 rep at 405 lbs
- 1 rep at 405 lbs
- 1 rep at 405 lbs
At the end of the workout I was completely fried. My back and hamstrings are aching and I feel GREAT! Now to sleep…
