Widowmakers Revisted

Last night I was tight on time, so if figured a quick session of back squats leading up to widowmakers was in order.

Rep progression was as follows:

  • 12 reps at 135 lbs; followed by 50 ab-mat situps
  • 10 reps at 185 lbs; followed by 50 ab-mat situps
  • 8 reps at 205 lbs; followed by 30 ab-mat situps
  • 6 reps at 215lbs; followed by 20 ab-mat situps
  • 20 reps at 225lbs (no more ab-mat situps… I was spent)

My widowmaker set was quite fast, I could probably at 10% more weight to the bar.  Next time I guess…
