If all else fails, lift heavy (after consulting with your physician, LOL)

Do not try this at home. LOL.

Today was one of those days.  You know the kind that I’m talking about, right?  You wake up early, sit at your computer, start to hammer out emails for work, the next thing you know its 5 o’clock and your day has disappeared.  Well, it was one of those days.  So what do you do, go for a workout and do something to get your body moving.  And that’s just what I did.

Today’s Crossfit Langley WOD was a beauty.  Deadlifts followed by a quick traditional workout of the day – “Annie”.  Being that this was only my 3rd workout back since returning from a 3 week hiatus, it went down well.

Deadlifts:

  • 10 x 135 lbs
  • 10 x 135 lbs
  • 5 x 225 lbs
  • 5 x 300 lbs
  • 3 x 345 lbs
  • 1 x 383 lbs
  • 2 x 403 lbs

By this point, I was feeling it a bit in my lower back (S.I. Joint) so called it off.  But overall, felt great.

WOD:  Annie – this one’s a beauty!

  • 50 x Double unders
  • 50 x Ab-mat sit-ups
  • 40 x Double unders
  • 40 x Ab-mat sit-ups
  • 30 x Double unders
  • 30 x Ab-mat sit-ups
  • 20 x Double unders
  • 20 x Ab-mat sit-ups
  • 10 x Double unders
  • 10 x Ab-mat sit-ups

My time to complete was 7:19

Great workout – thanks Coach DC!

Lastly, big shout out to Pete and Mark – good luck in Calgary this weekend at the Canadian Crossfit Regional!
