I love track workouts! Not every day of course, but the fact that I can just throw on a pair of running shoes and head down to the track and run to my heart’s content, just makes me feel all warm inside. (Actually, I’m probably confusing burning lungs with feelings of elation, but it could just be me)
Last night I trained with 5 friends at the track. We did what seemingly appears as a simple workout, but its a tough one mentally to just keep pushing yourself through once the timer starts counting up.
Note that in this WOD, men used a 20 lbs medicine ball (muscle driver slam ball), and the women, a 10 lbs ball. The WOD was for time and went as follows:
If I haven’t mentioned it before, let me repeat myself — “I HATE BURPEES!”
My time to complete this workout was 19:31 – my conditioning is not what it was 3-months ago but I’m still fairly happy with my performance nonetheless. So happy to be back to training and looking forward to the process of getting back into shape. Never easy to start back, but feeling happy knowing that the momentum will carry me with the little pushes and nudges from those that matter in my life.

It was a great workout! I feel amazing this morning despite the 150 burpies! So glad you’re back to doing what you are so great at!!!
