Yesterday was a great day for Crossfit! Officially my 3rd workout since coming back after a 3-month Crossfit hiatus, and I'm feeling better than ever. Even though my strength has decreased, I'm feeling extremely optimistic that I will be back to where I was pre-injury in a matter of weeks.
Today's WOD at
Crossfit Langley
was, for a lack of a better expression, a "
kickass
" Met-con!
It was a timed workout consisting of a decreasing ladder of 12 to 1 reps per exercise per set.
It looked like this:
- 12 x 135lbs Deadlifts, 12 x 20" box jumps, 12 x push-ups, 100 meter run;
- 11 x 135lbs deadlifts, 11 x 20" box jumps, 11 x push-ups, 100 meter run;
etc etc... to final set of,
- 1 x 135lbs deadlift, 1 x 20" box jump, 1 x push-up, 100 meter run.
My time to complete the above was 13:06 - very happy with this time. Could have pushed it a bit more on the runs, but hey, they call me Moose for a reason.
