I love great days.  And as far as great days go, today was one of the best.

The morning started off at 7 a.m. with my mom and Christie joining me as my guests at Early Edition Toastmasters.  They got to see me in action as the Chairman for the meeting.  Not to mention, my mom was called upon to be an impromptu speaker during the table topics portion of the meeting and by unanimous decision won the 1st place blue ribbon as best Table Topic Speaker.

Next, Christie joined me at Crossfit Langley for her first true, in-a-box, Crossfit workout.  Can I get a "hell ya!"?  She did great.  An already stellar athlete with years of experience in volleyball, swimming and track -- she's  a natural.  Amazing flexibility and joint mobility, she'll be crushing WOD's in no-time flat. I'm proud of ya baby!

Lastly, a big thanks to Coach DC for making Christie feel like part of the community right of the bat.  I know that Christie is amazed by the overwhelming kindness and support shown by all CFL athletes and now understands why I'm so eager to want to train there 6-days per week.  ;-)

Move over 2010, hello 2011.  I'm stoked to be training with my baby at CFL; just another thing we can do as a team.

Our workout (at least my portion) was as follows:

Warm-up:  3 rounds

  • 25 x double unders;

  • 20x box step ups;

  • 10 x push-ups.

Strength/technique:  5 Rounds

  • 2 x front squat at 245lbs;

  • 3 x Muscle-ups.

Quick core workout to finish:  3 rounds

  • 10 x weighted situps w/25lbs plate;

  • 10 x toes to bar.
