Love the Jellies!

This morning I woke up to my girls jumping on my bed whispering to me, “daddy, what’s the surprise for today?”

I scream for ice cream!

All week I’ve told them I had something special planned for them on Friday.  And every day they would ask me, what’s the surprise?  And to my astonishment, I actually kept it all a complete secret throughout the entire week.  This is no small feat for me as I’m famous for always sharing surprises.

Yesterday in anticipation for our big day, I had let the teachers and secretaries at the school know not to expect my girls on Friday – Daddy was calling a Pro-D day of his own.  So off we went downtown this morning, the girls still wondering where the heck we were going.  It wasn’t until I finally pulled into Stanley Park that they started putting 2-and-2 together.  We pulled up to the aquarium and I was deafened with their high-pitched screams of joy!  Ha ha – or should I say “surprise?”

After a few hours of exploring every nook and cranny of the aquarium it was off to the park (man, it was freezing! but that didn’t stop them). We headed back to Langley for lunch at Earl’s then ice cream at the Marble Slab, followed by them chilling out while Daddy blasted out a WOD at Crossfit Langley.

All in all, it was a perfect Daddy-Daughter(s) day!
