This is the best Paleo Salad on the planet (well, maybe not, but it's a close 2nd)

Crossfit Langley WOD (workout of the day)

As per my usual, today was a crazy, busy day.  Loads of appointments, phone calls, emails, and everything that falls in between.  It’s easy after a long day to say to myself that I should call it a day and “chill-out”, but that would be the “easy” way out.  Instead, I was off to Crossfit Langley for a quick workout.

Today’s Workout of the day was awesome!  It was a get-the-heart-rate-pumping-metabolic-conditioning workout with a set amount of work to complete as fast as you can.

Here’s the workout (note:  25 minute time cap)

  • 50 x 20″ box jumps;
  • 25 x 25lbs ball slams;
  • 25 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 25 x pull-ups;
  • 75 x air squats;
  • 25 x pull-ups;
  • 25 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 25 x 25lbs ball slams;
  • 50 x 20″ box jumps.

Secret to this workout – simple, just keep moving.  My time to complete was 11:17.

I kept thinking about dinner while doing my workout.  My reward after a long drawn out day is to cherish a bowl of my favorite meal.  Christie’s Paleo salad “extraordinaire” (note, say this with a French accent as it gives a je ne c’est quoi, un petit peu joie de vivre ;-)

Here’s the list of all the goodies that come in it.  (you gotta try it! and once you do, you’ll realize that following a Paleo diet is awesome and not that hard)

The Paleo Salad “extraordinaire” ingredient list (all organic of course): Spinach, Cherry tomatoes, Carrots, Avocado, Strawberries, Dried cranberries, Cucumber, and last but not least, chicken!  Yumm-eh!?

And to wind the day up, what better way than to watch the Canuck game live streaming on our laptop with my beautiful honey, Christie.  Go Canucks go!
