Crossfit's Little Orphan?

Crossfit's Little Orphan?

The sun will come out tomorrow… bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there’ll be “double-unders”!

Well not quite, but today was a great day for an oldie-but-a-goodie Crossfit WOD.  “Annie”.  Everyone’s favorite orphan that gets your heart rate cranking and sweat pouring.  If you like double-unders and sit-ups, then look no further because Annie’s the girl for you.

Warm-up:

  • 30 seconds of 10 meter shuttle runs (I managed to get to 8 x 10 meter lengths by last 30 second interval)

Technique:  Deadlifts

  • 5 x 225 lbs
  • 5 x 265 lbs
  • 3 x 285 lbs
  • 3 x 315 lbs

Workout of the Day:  Annie

  • 50 x double-unders, 50 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 40 x double-unders, 40 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 30 x double-unders, 30 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 20 x double-unders, 20 x ab-mat sit-ups;
  • 10 x double-unders, 10 x ab-mat sit-ups.

My time to complete was 6:30.  This is a full 0:50 seconds better than the last time I did it.  Sweetness!

So, its Springtime in Vancouver… is the Sun gonna be out tomorrow?  We shall see.

PS – GO CANUCKS GO!
