I figure if I keep telling it to myself that I will start to believe it. LOL! But seriously, I feel better now than I did at 30. Probably due to a number of factors especially the 3 F’s: family, fun and fitness. My diet plays a huge role too when it comes to performance and recovery. If I keep at it I’m expecting that by the age of 50 I’ll be exactly where I want and fitter than I am now ;-) (well, I can wish can’t I?)
This weekend Christie and I had the honor of meeting up with some good friends in from Edmonton for a workout at Fitness Town Crossfit. Our fit friends, Kevin and Mel, are both extremely fit people but have never tried a CrossFit workout before Saturday. Seeing as it was their first CrossFit WOD, I thought Cindy an appropriate intro as the 3 movements are not new to them. Big thanks to Patrick V who also joined in the fun and hit a new PR in Cindy too!
Long and short of it all — they loved it!
I managed to PR with 21 Rounds plus 12 reps. As well, Christie, Kevin and Mel all killed it as well… great workout followed by a great lunch at Joey’s Burnaby.
Sunday was a rest day for me (and my birthday to boot!). I’m finally healed up after a great time at Taranis. Stay tuned for my post on that experience tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to the next 35 years and the adventures in store for me and my family…
Happy birthday Dai. I am coming up on 42 in March and I am much fitter now than I was when I was 35, but then I was pretty much a mess at 35
