Cretus Ex Duellum: Born from battle

 

Less than 5 days remaining between now and the 1st Annual Pre-OPEN Crossfit Challenge “Cretus Ex Duellum” in Lynnwood, WA on January 21st and 22nd.  I’m starting to get REALLY excited for this one!  It is my first time competing in the “firebreather” group and with that comes a whole other ball of anxiety (but in a good way).

I’m happy with my training so far and loving the fact that my recovery time has improved so much.  I owe much of the credit to my diet now and some of the bonuses of being consistent with my nutrition is clearly paying off:  more energy, faster recovery, increased strength and reduced body fat.  As the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”   So with that I will continue moving forward and not change a thing…

Yesterday’s workout at CrossFit BC was awesome.  A little WOD for time called “Nelly”…

Workout of the Day:  ”Nelly” (7 Rounds for time)

  • 7 x Overhead Squats (65/95) … Rx+ for competitors (95lbs / 135lbs)
  • 15 x Box Jumps (20″/24″)
  • 15 x Wallballs (14/20lbs)

 

My time was 16:19 Rx + (w/135lbs OHS)
