A classic "Girl" WOD with a twist

A classic "Girl" WOD with a twist
Last night was just what I needed - a classic run through one of my faves - "Nancy".  A workout that incorporates one of my favorite lifts, Overhead Squats, along with one of my least favorite tasks - the 400m run.  A little good with a little not-so-good, but hey, that's CrossFit for ya.

To make it interesting, Coach KT programmed this workout as a partner workout, which went like this...

Workout of the Day:  "Nancy" with a partner

5 Rounds for time

  • 400 meter run

  • 15 x overhead squat (115lbs for Rx+)

The difference is that both partners do all the work as programmed with the exception only 1 person can be lifting at a time, and the run needs to be done together.  This is great as you can have a bit of a break between lifting and running (well at least one partner does).

Rhino and me were paired up for this workout and I'm very happy to say we had a solid time of 19:59.  Fantastic!  We might have been a little slower on our runs but we managed to do all the Overhead Squats unbroken.

... what's on your WOD books for today?
