The book I'll never write and my weight loss prescription
I'd make a lousy book author.  After all there's not much left to the imagination if you write a book containing only 3 pages, right?

The Book I'll Never Write


If I was to author a book all about weight " release " or the " 2 best kept secrets the weight loss industry doesn't want you to know about ", this is how it would read:

Page 1:  Eat less

Page 2:  Move more

Page 3:  Repeat daily (for life)

The End.

Not much to it, hey?

I laugh when I read about all the new up and coming diets, the best 5 minute weight-loss workouts and "miracle no-diet, weight loss" pills!  It's easy to get swallowed up by all the hype and clever marketing.   (BTW, I'm guilty of buying the As Seen on TV product too - it just LOOKS so AMAZING!)

And then there were #SundayFundays


Almost 18 months ago my wife, Christie along with myself and a handful of positive, like-minded people started our Sunday Funday community at Fitness Town Burnaby.  I describe the community as a positive, learning environment where people can safely push themselves outside of their "fitness" comfort zones, meet new friends, and achieve optimal health and fitness.  As much as it might be the desire or want to achieve a specific health goal such as losing 10 pounds, gaining 5 pounds of muscle or improving one's endurance; the one common theme that keeps everyone coming back can be summarized with a single word - "community".

Of course I'll never write the book about "weight release", but I do have a simple prescription for weight loss (or release), and it's summed up below.  Save it, share it, live it and you'll see it is less and less about losing weight, and instead it comes down to living the life that you want.  The only way you can live a highly functional and rewarding life is to experience optimal health and be functionally fit.

Ask yourself 1 question:


"Am I doing the daily habits necessary to make sure that I live the life that I most want, the way I want to live it?"

If you answer is no, then it's time to put an action plan together to shift your lifestyle NOW to live strong, healthy and free as you age.
