Short on time? No worries, there's a #ChickenApp for that
Chicken_kabob_MooseIsLoose_ChickenApp Time. Time? Time! Who's got enough of it? Well my family sure doesn't.

We lead active lifestyles which always seem to be on the go. If there's an opportunity to take a short cut when it comes to meal preparation and cooking, we're all about it.

Several months ago we started cooking large batches of chicken breasts at the start of our week. These morsels of protein goodness are then individually wrapped and put away in the fridge to be used in future meals later in the week. Sometimes we struggle with creativity and go with a more traditional chicken, broccoli and rice dish ( this was a Christie 'go to' meal for years - and I love it! ), but every once in a while we like to shake things up. And by the way, that's not a 'shake n' bake' reference.

Most recently we wanted a healthier snack option for the family to enjoy. The type of snack you can throw together quickly as soon as you get in the door from a hustle-and-bustle day. We decided to opt for the " Chicken Cape Kabob " which is absolutely delicious and best of all is kids approved.

NB: the recipe as we made it is slightly modified from what is listed on the Chicken.ca website. We opted to add a few other vegetables to make it a little more colorful and of course, ensuring that our little ones got a few extra nutrients...

Short on time? No worries,  there's a #ChickenApp for that

Christie and I are busy, busy parents. And we often find ourselves rushing around last-minute to piece together healthy meals for our 2 daughters, Chardonae and Brie. It's a priority for us to make sure they are getting healthy meal options every day, and as busy as we might find ourselves, we make sure to commit the time to fueling them with the cleanest fuel we can.

The new #ChickenApp grocery list app makes shopping a breeze. Now we can create multiple shopping lists that we can customize based on the meal or event we are preparing for, we can share lists between each other to make shopping easy, and browse a selection of over 700 chicken.ca recipes for healthy meal and snack ideas. And it's FREE for the iPhone and Android.
