Crossfit has been an amazing influence on both my personal and business life. I’ve never been in such good shape as I am now and I owe much of my success to Crossfit and the influence its community has had on me. As many Crossfitters will tell you, following the prescribed WODs (workouts of the day) as laid out on the .com or other affiliate sites is what makes it so much fun. Not only are you competing with your own goals, psychological and neurological limits, but you can measure yourself against others from around the world and compare your times, loads and work with theirs.
Today was one of those days. You know the kind that I’m talking about, right? You wake up early, sit at your computer, start to hammer out emails for work, the next thing you know its 5 o’clock and your day has disappeared. Well, it was one of those days. So what do you do, go for a workout and do something to get your body moving. And that’s just what I did.
Well, after almost a month off from any Cross-fit or weight training I’m back at it with a vengeance. Tuesday’s night WOD, “Annie with a twist”, was a good one to come back to. The workout consists of doing 15 rounds of 10 Double-unders and 10 ab-mat sit ups for time. I banged it off in 9:02! Honestly, I did not expect to do so well after a 4 week hiatus.
