Great workout today consisting of a little mobility work, then some strength/technique, followed by a decreasing ladder… and then a “crazy ab” workout with the [...]
I love to workout outdoors; and last night was no exception and with a beautiful sunset as our backdrop, it’s easy to see why I [...]
Quick in and out workout. Deadlifts, power cleans and push presses… with a bit of sprinting to round it off. Need I say more? Warm-up: [...]
After 7 weeks of no weight training or Crossfit, I’ve been going a bit stir crazy. however, that being said I know that my back is thanking me for it. I’ve been avidly going to Bikram’s Yoga 3 or 4 times per week for the last 3 weeks and I’m feeling great. So great as a matter of fact I felt that I could do a track workout in after sweating it out for 90 minutes in 40 degree heat… bad idea!
A do run, run, a do run, run… not a song that the Moose enjoys, but it will be my new theme song for the next 6 months as I set out to learn to run. My legs were already sore from yesterday’s ball runs, but I persevered and plodded through today’s WOD.
Needless to say but today’s crossfit workout was less than fun. But the best thing about it was when I finished it. There is an odd sense of accomplishment gained when you persevere through a grueling workout.
On Thursday, the workout of the day consisted of 200 meter sprints. And because its a crossfit WOD, we couldn’t just do 1, 2 or 3 sets, but rather 7 rounds! Sweet. And of course to make it interesting, after each 200m sprint we are only allowed 1 minute for recovery. The workout was scored based on time elapsed for the sprinting portion of the workout.
