A few days post two attempts at CrossFit Open WOD 12.1 and a few other shoulder dominant workouts after the past two days, and now I'm in need of some serious down time for my shoulders... but of course, there's always room for one more WOD, isn't there? LOL!
This evening at
CrossFit BC
was a bit of running, some push jerk work, followed up with a short 5 minute AMRAP to finish the session off.
Warm-up: Partner relay running
- 200 meter
- 400 meter
- 600 meter
Technique/strength: Push Jerk (3, 3, 2, 2, 2 up to 80% max)
WOD: 5 minute AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible)
- 5 x 255 lbs deadlifts
- 10 x Ring pushups, feet raised
Managed to bang off
7 rounds plus 10 reps. My shoulders are now officially toast and I've laced them with arnica cream...
... bring on WOD 12.2 and let the games continue!
