Sheepdog CrossFit pays tribute to humanity with a "Murph" documentary
On February 24th, 2013 filming was done for a documentary in honor of Lt. Michael Murphy and 18 other Navy SEALs and Special Operations Forces soldiers who were killed during a counter-insurgent mission in Kunar province, Afghanistan. Lt. Murphy was an avid adherent to CrossFit, and after his death one of his favorite workouts was named after him.

I had the honor to witness Sheepdog CrossFit trainers Seb, Rob, Chris, Sharen, Scotty, Paul, Alissa and Leah, as they all completed the WOD (workout of the day) " Murph ". Regularly, the "Murph" workout consists of: (while wearing a 20 lb vest as a substitute for body armor) a one mile run, followed by 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, and finished with a one mile run. The Sheepdog team did this wearing vests ranging from 20lbs to 120lbs! (yes, that's right, 120lbs!)
