Got my workout in today, did you?

I'm tired.  Been a long day, but wanted to get my quick post up to let you all know I got my workout in today.... did you?

My workout was as follows:

Warm-up: 10 to 1 ladder

  • 10 x wall balls w/20lbs ball;

  • 10 x 20" box jumps;

  • progress to 9 reps, then 8, then 7... you get the picture.


Workout:  Establish a 1-rep max Clean and Jerk

  • 5 x 95 lbs

  • 3 x 135 lbs

  • 3 x 185 lbs

  • 2 x 205 lbs

  • 1 x 215 lbs

  • 1 x 225 lbs

  • 0 x 235 lbs (fail)

  • 1 x 235 lbs

  • 0 x 245 lbs (fail)


What's really funny is that I can power clean the 245lbs easily, but then the jerk (and I'm not talking about me) is weak.  However my PR for squat clean is 285lbs and my 1 rep max for jerk is 265lbs, you'd think I would be able to do more... but not gonna happen!  I agree with what my friend Pete said today, I need to scale back to 95lbs and work my technique until its so engrained that it is automatic at the heavier weight.  Back to the drawing board... yet again.  But that's Crossfit for ya.
