After dropping a new Concept 2 (care of
Fitness Town
) rowing machine off for the Kitchen's at
CrossFit North Vancouver
, I volunteered to try my luck with the "Filthy Fifty". Yikes, it's been a long time since I last had a go at this one, but I'm glad I did as I nearly PR'd by a full 6 minutes over my last go. Thanks Dave et al!
Filthy Fifty (For time):
- 50 Box jump, 24 inch box
- 50 Jumping pull-ups
- 50 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
- Walking Lunge, 50 steps
- 50 Knees to elbows
- 50 Push press, 45 pounds
- 50 Back extensions
- 50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
- 50 Burpees
- 50 Double unders
My time
, a new PR by about 7 minutes,
was 20:15

Come 5pm that evening, I couldn't pass up hitting "Sophie's Choice" at
CrossFit BC
to help bring in Sophie's 20th birthday... but at about the 12 minute mark I was wondering "why?"
2nd WOD of the Day: "Sophie's Choice" (for time)
Teams of two complete 4 rounds of the following for time. One person works at a time, divide the work evenly.
- 20 Hand Release Push ups
- 20 Power Cleans at 165 lbs
- 20 Sit ups
- 20 Push Press at 135 lbs
- 20 Good Mornings at 65 lbs
- 20 Chest to bar Pull-ups
- 20 Box Jumps at 30"
