Last night I had the opportunity to visit one of the Lower Mainland's newest CrossFit boxes, Hybrid Athletics in Langley, B.C. If you aren't familiar with Hybrid, have a look at the following photo album of their
grand opening event. Simply put, awesome! Coach Nate and Coach Robbie's programming is both comprehensive and energetic, but most importantly a lot of fun too. On the board last night was the first workout from last year's CrossFit Open qualifiers - a great 10 minute AMRAP that looks unassuming in its description, but once you start at it, gets pretty tough quickly.

Warm-up: 10 Rounds (1000 m row w/damper set to Level 1 on the Concept 2 rower)
- aim for 22-24 Strokes per minute
- 30 seconds rest between intervals
- DYNAMIC STRETCH
TECH: Muscle Snatch & Double Unders
WOD: OPEN WOD 11.1 (AMRAP)
- 30 x Double Unders
- 15 x Snatch @ 75lbs
My score last year was 6 rounds. Last night I bettered that with
7 rounds plus 30 double unders.
POST WOD: Shoulder / Forearm / Back – Stretch and Roll
