CrossFit BC Competitor's Throwdown

CrossFit BC Competitor's Throwdown
So what do you like to do on Saturdays?  Take a nice leisurely walk in the park?  Go for a bike ride?  Or throw down two CrossFit workouts at your local box?  Well I opted for the throw down (go figure, hey?)

In preparation for the CrossFit Open starting in 2 weeks, CrossFit BC Coaches have coordinated Saturday and Sunday workouts for all the Open registrants to amp up their training efforts in preparation for the workouts soon to follow.  Yesterday's WOD's were all out fun and a great way to get to know a bunch of the "fire breathers".

The Workouts:

  • Buy in:  1,000 m row

  • Power Snatch (95/135lbs)

  • Chest-to-bar pull-ups

  • Hand-stand push-ups

My time was 8:32

WOD 2 (10 minute time cap):  3 rounds for time

  • 10 x box jumps (24/30") (stand-up on top, full hip extension)

It wasn't my best performances.  I have to admit after 12 days of training in a row, I'm feeling a little beat up.  Going to take a couple of days off then back at it again Wednesday.  Fun times for all!

Have you registered for the open yet?  No matter your level in CrossFit, I highly recommend it.  Great experience and well worth it.  So what are you waiting for?
