Diane, I'm sorry to tell you... I hate you!

One of the Crossfit Benchmark WOD's is Diane.  A classic workout for time, this 3 round couplet will leave even some of the fittest athletes feeling gassed.  She's an ugly one comprised of 225lbs deadlifts and hand-stand push-ups... ewwww!  The workout may sound simple enough but for a big guy like me, no way.  Quite frankly, I hate Diane!  Hand-stand push-ups are right up there with muscle-ups - they are not my friends.

"Diane" runs like this:

  • 21 x 225lbs deadlift,

  • 21 hand-stand push-ups;

  • 15 x 225lbs deadlift,

  • 15 hand-stand push-ups;

  • 9 x 225lbs deadlift,

  • 9 hand-stand push-ups.


DONE.  Mark your time to complete.

I plan to see Diane again in the near future.  My hopes are do this WOD under 10 minutes next time.  We shall see... all in all, I'm happy with Day 4 of my 90-day Fitness Town challenge results... only 86 more workouts to go.
