Squat snatching my way to health and fitness... bollocks!
I'm kidding. Seriously, I don't know of any other lift that messes with my head and body more than the Snatch. It is definitely one of the most complex lifts you can do and if you are like me and have one weakness or two (i.e. weak overhead squat) then this lift will exploit that weakness and take you down - hard!
Yesterday was a great technical day at Crossfit Vancouver. As a matter of fact, this week's programming was done by Mr. Pink Patterson and was some of my faves all rolled into one powerhouse week. Thank you Patty!

Warm up: 1 mile run
Tech: Snatch
Workout of the Day: 12, 9, 6 couplet (Snatch 95lbs / burpee)
So you would do 12 snatches, 12 burpees, 9 snatches, 9 burpees, and then 6 and 6 for time.
My time to complete was a slow 4:22.
I plan to do this one again on my next Olympic lifting day. It's a great little gasser.
And I don't know about you, but I'm getting pumped for the Crossfit Games... only a couple of weeks to go!
