There was a buzz in the air as I pulled up out front of
CrossFit Kitsilano
this evening. The 5:30 class was just finishing up and the usual bunch were standing around, gassed and covered in a thin film of sweat. Obviously the result of another great day of programming by Coach Fynn. I had a quick glance at the board and was extremely pleased (although I didn't let Fynn know) to see no running on the schedule. And instead, just a few of my favorite movements including deadlifts and squat cleans. Giddy-up!

First part of class was spent completing the
Wendler 5, 3, 1 cycle of deadlifts. Deadlifts are a lift I am really starting to enjoy, but I have to say, I'm still leary of doing them because of my earlier back injuries. That being said, here's how my numbers went tonight:
- 365 lbs x 5
- 395 lbs x 3
- 435 lbs x 2
WOD Part A: 6 minute AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) Squat cleans at 135lbs
My score was
50 x 135 lbs... trust me, after about rep 30, it was pretty much singles the whole way. Great little gasser!
WOD Part B: 50 Toes to Bar for time
My
time was 3:40
Gruelling WOD’s but so much fun! Thanks again!
