Well hello from the West Coast!
We did it! We're husband and wife (fully)!
Big news to tell… upon entering our 12th year together Christie and I decided made it official. On the 12th day of the 12th month in the year 2012 at 12 minutes past Noon, we wed. No more being “half-married” as our two daughters, Chardonae and Brie, like to refer to us as. No; we are now “fully-married”!
We chose to keep our ceremony very HUSH-HUSH, not wanting to stress any family or friends, and have a small intimate, low-key ceremony at the top of Grouse Mountain in the Observatory overlooking a winter wonderland… or at least that was our intention. (BTW – huge thanks to Jake and Arne for being our witnesses, the Godparents of our children, and of course for being such kick-ass friends!)
Our plans to announce of our marriage in a few weeks faded suddenly when notified that Global TV News wanted to witness the ceremony. I guess being married at 12:12 pm on the 12 day of the 12th month of 2012 was kind of a big deal? Who knew?
How did the news get involved? Well a huge thanks goes out to our friend, Brian (our officiate), who posted on Facebook that he was off to wed a couple on the top of Grouse at 12:12 on 12-12-12. Immediately he had an inquiry from Global TV to do a news story on it… And hence, the proverbial cat is out of the bag!

Big thank you to all the positive comments and congratulatory salutations! We love you all and are excited to start this new chapter in our lives as Mr. and Mrs. Manuel
