Sunday Funday Throwdowns have never been so good

Sunday Funday Throwdowns have never been so good
For the past 10 months the Fitness Town Sunday Funday (Throwdown) crew has ballooned to over 240 people.  People from all over the lower mainland of BC are driving in Sunday mornings to take part in functional fitness workouts utilizing CrossFit principles.

In the world outside the "box", everyone has a very different story to tell.  Busy lives, hustle-and-bustle, and commitments run rampant, but then Sunday rolls around.  Through sweat and hard work, the commonalities shadow the differences and everyone is on the same path for an hour - we all start and finish the journey at the same time, however each one of us a bit stronger; a bit healthier; and a bit fitter than we were before we started.

This is why I love what I do.  Can I get a HOO-RAH?!!

Today's workouts were as follows...

Beginners WOD: Care of Invictus

In teams of two, complete 10 rounds for time of:

  • 20 Kettlebell Swings

  • 15 Wall Ball Shots

  • 10 Toes to Bar (of course we have scaled movements in lieu)

Partners must alternate tasks throughout workout, with only one partner working at a time (e.g., Round 1 – Partner A does 20 Kettlebell Swings, Partner B does 15 Wall Ball Shots, Partner A does 10 Toes to Bar; Round 2 – Partner B does 20 Kettlebell Swings, Partner A does 15 Wall Ball Shots, Partner B does 10 Toes to Bar).

Firebreather's WOD
