Benefits of a high protein diet

The Health Benefits of a High Protein Diet (an infographic)

Protein intake and meal frequency has long been debated in the bodybuilding world. You can find some bodybuilders consuming over 500g of protein a day and some as little as 100g per day.

Bodybuilding supplements are used to aid people in increasing their protein intake, but how much protein should you actually take?

Instead of addressing that question (which has not yet been answered by research), here's a cool infographic (care of Bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk) that shows the health benefits of a high protein diet, by high we mean 1-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight. This is typically the norm for an athlete or gym goers. Check out the benefits below and let us know what you think!

  1. Proteins does not necessary mean MEAT, right?

Nice infographic Dai. I like it. I’ve found my sweet spot to be around 1 gram per pound of body weight (195 lbs). Sometimes the odd person finds it shocking to learn I eat that much protein. It’s actually not that hard to hit if you’re eating properly. Have a good one. Joe
