How to improve your blood circulation

How to improve your blood circulation
Improving the circulation of blood around your body is vital to the health of your entire body. Though this is likely not something that your think about daily. That is unless you find a part of your body is going to sleep.
Your body circulates fluid around constantly delivering oxygen and nutrients to your cells.

If you have poor circulation , then your body is not getting the fuel it needs to operate throughout the day. This can lead to suffering from a variety of issues such as numbness, bloating, and decreased energy.

You can follow a few helpful tips to solve these problems.

Massages

A great way to improve your circulation without doing anything too strenuous is to receive a massage.

This comes with the added benefit of being relaxing and relieving of stresses or pains in your life. Importantly, they also increase your blood flow as they encourage the lymph fluid to flow through your cells, improving your immune system and circulation.

One way to target your blood flow at home is to invest in a back massager. Due to the large surface area, focussing on this part of your body is a sure-fire way to get the blood flowing around the body. It will also reduce pain and may even help you sleep better.

Exercise

Getting out and moving your body is not only helpful if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle but will also increase your blood flow.

The more intense the exercise the harder your heart will work to pump the blood around your body. Experts usually recommend mild to moderate exercise for 30 minutes a day. This can include walking, cycling, jogging, or HIIT exercises.

Elevating Your Legs

This may sound like a bit of an odd tip.

However, many of the worlds spend an extended period sitting and standing. This can cause blood to pool in the veins of the legs which will lead to swelling, cramping, and fatigue. Elevating your legs for up to 20 minutes a day can relieve these symptoms and improve circulation.

This does not have to be a strenuous exercise, and many find it quite relaxing. You can place several pillows under your feet and legs to angle your legs at the highest angle.

Or you could straighten your legs against the wall leaving no space between your bottom and the wall. This position may even help you relax.

Stretching

Basic stretching techniques can drastically improve your circulation, especially if you spend a few minutes every day doing them. Stretching or yoga places your body in different positions than what you usually experience when going through your daily routine which encourages the blood to flow throughout the body.

Improving Circulation

This can seem like an afterthought when it comes to caring about your body and leading a healthy lifestyle. However, poor circulation can lead to multiple problems in your life if you let it get out of control. Simple changes to your daily routine can prevent this though. Making sure to take time and practice come of these will help you to lead a happier and less painful life.
