5 Ways to Keep Your Private Parts Clean

5 Ways to Keep Your Private Parts Clean
Personal hygiene is a hot topic, and rightly so. Looking after your body is important both for your own health and for your love life, so it’s a bad idea to cut corners when it comes to cleaning your undercarriage.

Of course, most of us aren’t taught to maintain our private parts but have to pick them up as we go along. If you worry that your downstairs cleanliness might be lacking, here are some tips to help you out.

1) Check for any blood when you wipe

Finding blood when wiping is surprisingly common, and is usually nothing to worry about, but could be a cause for concern if it occurs regularly.

Aside from being unsightly, anal bleeding could be a result of everything from hemorrhoids and fissures to IBS and even colon cancer.

More often than not, bleeding can occur because you are being overzealous with your wiping itself, leading to chafing of a sensitive area. A good solution, and one which will result in better levels of cleanliness below the belt, is to use a moistened wipe made specifically for use in this area.

You won’t need the same amount of elbow grease to get clean, and you will feel far fresher than if you just go in with dry tissue paper.

2) Make liberal use of mild soaps

Thorough washing of your genitals should be part of everyone’s morning routine. However, this is a sensitive area and one which needs to be treated as such.

Rather than opting to use the same soaps and gels that you already have for the other areas of your body, invest in mild counterparts that will clean away dirt and debris without doing any unwanted damage.

There are also specific soap products for intimate areas aimed at men and women alike, so do your research and don’t skimp on unguents to bring out the best of your private parts.

3) Rinsing is also your friend

Another important part of your genital cleaning process is rinsing, since again if any soaps or unwanted detritus are left to linger then this could be unhygienic or irritate the sensitive skin.

Using plenty of water to slosh your downstairs free from debris and residue after you have already washed with products is always recommended.

4) Changing your underwear daily is a must

It really should go without saying, but if you change your underwear every morning then you can maintain that all-important freshness and hygiene after your shower for longer.

Also bear in mind that some materials are better suited to use in underwear than others. Avoid synthetic fabrics because these can end up trapping moisture and lacking the breathability of that old classic, cotton.

5) Consider your grooming technique

While you don’t necessarily have to go all-out with grooming your genital zone, it certainly doesn’t hurt to keep it neat and tidy down there, because fewer hairs mean fewer places to harbor the bacteria that are largely responsible for unpleasant odors.

Manual and mechanical grooming methods still work best, so steer clear of products that are produced to remove hair chemically, as these are typically too harsh for use on your private parts.

Also, be tidy when you are grooming by doing the trimming of your pubic region in the shower prior to your daily ablutions. That way you can wash the clippings down the plughole rather than leaving them scattered all over the bathroom, which is really not acceptable if you share a house with anyone else.

In all, it is better not to take shortcuts when keeping your private parts clean, as it is a gift that keeps on giving both for you and for any of your romantic partners.
