Don’t Believe the Hype - These Fitness Tips Won’t Help You!
What stands in the way of so many well-meaning people across the UK ( and other parts of the world ) is not a lack of effort or intent, but rather a series of long-standing misconceptions about WHAT WILL and WILL NOT make you fit.

So with this in mind, here’s a look at...

3 Fitness Tips that will NOT bring you any benefit whatsoever

1. Carbs are Killers

No, no and a million times no. A few of those annoying fad diets over recent years branded carbohydrates public enemies one, two and three for dieters, when this is really a harmful way to think. Fact one is that you need carbs for your body to work properly, fact two is carbs are in no way bad for you in moderation and fact three is cutting carbs altogether plays havoc with your metabolism. Add the three together and you have yourself every reason in the world to cut carbs as part of a sensible diet, but don’t ever be tempted to cut them altogether.

2. Pain = Gain

no pain no gain

Sure you can punish yourself with a painful workout plan every single day to try to get fit, but do you really have to? Of course you don’t – exercise can be as intensive or as gently as you like and still take you in the right direction. Motivation is key to sticking with an exercise regimen long enough for it to work, so punish yourself to tears every time and you have no chance whatsoever of getting anywhere at all.

3. Some People Cannot Lose Weight…Period

And to finish with this old chestnut, unless a team of crack medical professionals have officially diagnosed you with a rare condition, you CAN lose weight. After all, our bodies don’t convert the air we breathe into fat and they do very much use fat reserve for energy. It’s a case of what you put in and what you use adding up to the results you can expect – don’t ever fool yourself into thinking you’re not in control…chances are your success is actually 100% in your hands and your hands alone!

Start by setting a goal and then get after it!
